TOKI POUNAMU Film Festival
Today we went to the Regent Theatre and watched the Toki Pounamu Film Festival. My favourite film was the robbery because it was different to the others. I found it cool because they had some awesome slow motion clips. They had a cool story line, because it was a robbery and it had more props than the others and more clips. I liked the part where the robber fell asleep. Finally, I liked that it was longer than most of the other films. I like The film festival a lot because it was fun seeing the things that everyone had made.

Bredding
Weta lay their eggs at night. They lay 2 hundred eggs in their whole life. They use their ovipositor to lay their eggs by sticking their ovipositor in the ground and then they push out the eggs.
Threats
Most weta threats are birds. Birds are the biggest threats to weta because they can just fly down and attack them. Cave weta mostly get attacked by Bats and rats . Hedgehogs mostly attack tree weta because they are easy to catch. Cats can eat wetas so quick.
How can we Help
We can help by not making traps or wrecking their habitat.

My Marae recount 2k19.
The Best Marae
On the first and second of May we stayed the night at our local Marae. We stayed at our local Marae named Arahura. The people who were staying was Room 5 and 7 and the parents. We were staying there for camp.We were there for learning about the Marae.
One thing I loved was the evening rotations like the technology challenge with Miss Ireland. Luken Issac, Jack and Kayden made me look like a Taniwha.I was Kayden’s pet Taniwha and my eyes were wonky. Then we played a game where someone was a rat and someone was a rabbit. One of the adults would say rat then the rabbits would have to tag the rats and the rats had to tag the rabbits. Then we played a game it was like hockey. You would have a paper stick and you would have to hit the ping pong ball into the goal like a boss.
Next we went to the river and looked for pounamu. It was amazing. Sadly I found nothing but what I did see was a spring. Me and Hunter were looking for green so that is probably why we found nothing.Jerry came with us down to the river and he said don't look for green look for white. I found that funny because you would have thought that you would have to look for green.
Bush walk
Then we went for a walk at lake Mahinapua. We had a worksheet that we had to complete in the time that we were there. Me and Hunter did it in ten minutes. Nek minute we were jumping like kangaroos. When we got there it was like we were on holiday.
Personal comment
If you have the chance to go to a marae then go. It is so cool!

We had to use sticky ( interesting ) language, use the five senses and use interesting verbs and nouns. Here is my poem.
